Nominations
Nominations are currently open as we look to bring new ideas and energy to the board. We will take nominations now through Sunday, June 15, 2025.
You can nominate yourself or another member to be a candidate for any of the following positions. Send an email to stlouisillini@gmail.com with the name and position. Detailed information about each position is posted below. Nominees will become candidates for office after accepting a nomination and submitting a short bio (100 words max) and statement for office (250 words max).

Vote
We will establish voting based on number of candidates we receive in 2024.
Eligibility rules to vote or to be nominated
- Be a member of the St. Louis Illini Club. Your email on file will be used to validate your vote. Get your membership in order at stlouisillini.org/membership.
- Be an alumnus/a of any campus of the University of Illinois.
- Live in any of the following counties: Madison County, IL; Monroe County, IL; St. Clair County, IL; Franklin County, MO; Jefferson County, MO; St. Charles County, MO; St. Louis County, MO; St. Louis, MO (city)

Positions
Officer descriptions, from the club by-laws:
President
The president will perform duties that generally pertain to the office of president, including any duties specified herein. The president will preside at all meetings of the club, will be the chairperson of the board of directors, ex-officio member of every committee and represent the club to the university and the public.
Vice President
In the absence or disability of the president or at the request of the president, the vice president will perform the duties of the president. When the office becomes vacant, the vice-president will act as president until the board of directors confirms election of a new president.
Treasurer
The treasurer will supervise all receipts and expenditures and financial arrangements for all of the meetings, programs, and events. The treasurer shall approve payment of or reimbursement of expenses for club events.
Secretary
The secretary of the club records and distributes the minutes of all meetings in a permanent book or equivalent electronic media of which the secretary shall have custody during the term of office. The secretary must send the minutes of each meeting to the president within 30 days after each meeting.
Executive Board
The Executive Board will help determine the direction of the club and make decisions to help the club grow. Members of the Executive Board will attend all executive meetings and will be active in planning and executing club events.
